Disney World Prepares to Reopen


Walt Disney World submitted proposed plans for reopening the Orlando Resort today. Below are the announced reopening dates:

~ Now Open - Disney Springs
~ June 22nd - DVC Resorts & Fort Wilderness
~ July 11th - Magic Kingdom Animal Kingdom
~ July 15th - Epcot & Hollywood Studios

Among the details released today, capacity will be significantly limited. A new park reservations system requiring all guests to obtain a reservation will be introduced. Certain experiences such as parade and night time spectaculars will return at a later date. High-touch experience such as makeover opportunities, playgrounds and character meet and greets will remain temporarily unavailable, characters will still be in the parks to entertain guests.

Guests will be required to wear appropriate face coverings in theme parks and common areas of the resorts. Guests and cast members will undergo temperature screenings prior to entering the parks. Cashless transactions are being recommended, cleaning and disinfection procedures will be increased. The full announcement can be found at the Disney Parks Blog. Disney Closing Parks Due to Covid-19


Disney announced today that the parks at Walt Disney World (Orlando) and Disneyland (Anaheim) will be closing March 15th, and Disney Cruise Line will suspend all new departures beginning March 14th. This announcement is in response to the current global pandemic. Posted 3/12/20

Update - Disney has announced that all Resorts at Walt Disney World will be closing Friday, March 20th. Posted 3/16/20.

Ticket Price Increase Delayed


Disney generally increases ticket prices about a year after its last increase with very little advance notice. Ticket prices were last raised on 3/12/19. If you are planning a trip this year, now might be a good time to lock in current prices. For more details, contact us today!

Update 3/12/20 - Due to Covid-19, and the closing of the resort this coming week, there has been no announcement of an increase in ticket prices. We don't expect an announcement any time soon, but will bring you information as soon as we do.

25% Summer Room Discount


Disney has released Bask in the Sun & Fun discounts for the 2020 summer travel season. All accommodation levels are available for booking through to August 31st. Discounts are 10% to 25% based on resort and travel dates. Restrictions apply and space is limited.

Disney Cruise Line Announces Three New Ships


Disney first announced that there will be two new ships joining the Disney Cruise Line fleet, a third ship was later announced. All three ships are expected to be slightly larger than the two more recent additions, the Dream (2011) and Fantasy (2012). It was announced today that the first of the three new ships has been named the Disney Wish, setting sail in January 2022.
